Calgary Airport commits to ARINC’s support for CUPPS
13. Mai 2013
Calgary Airport Authority has signed a 10-year contract extension with ARINC for its Common Use Passenger Processing Systems (CUPPS), which will be maintained on site by ARINC’s wholly owned subsidiary, ARINC Managed Services (AMS) LLC. The contract, which runs until 2022, includes ARINC’s vMUSE, BagLink, Common Use Self Service (CUSS) and Local Departure Control System (L-DCS) systems. As part of the agreement, all of the airport’s current systems are being updated to reflect the latest standards, including an upgrade of vMUSE to the current IATA CUPPS Standard version 1.3.
The ARINC systems provide the common use foundation for the entire airport, including the ability to extend into the new International Terminal, currently under construction. The new terminal, part of a major airport expansion, will go into operation in 2015 and will nearly double the size of the airport’s facilities, enabling it to meet increased demand for its services.
