inter airport Europe 2011 – the ideal market place for sourcing the right equipment

inter airport Europe is the world’s leading trade show for airport equipment, technology, design and services. In the airport industry the exhibition is renowned as a one stop shop for airport professionals from all over the world. In two exhibition halls and the adjacent outdoor area, visitors will find a comprehensive range of airport equipment and services, whether for terminal, terminal-adjoining facilities, runway, apron or hangar. This year, some 600 exhibitors from 33 countries will present trend-setting products and services, ranging from advanced explosives detection systems, intelligent IT-solutions for passenger flow, new baggage handling equipment and hybrid driven GSE to high performance snow blowers and fire fighting vehicles.

While passenger and cargo traffic continue to recover compared to last year’s figures, the economic situation for the airport industry remains challenging. Therefore the airport industry must be able to quickly adapt to changing demand and now set the course for the future. inter airport Europe 2011 is the ideal market place for sourcing state of the art equipment and intelligent services.

Clariant: Benefits of deicer recycling, of Octagon acquisition, on show at inter airport 2011

At inter airport Europe, Clariant will show how the carbon footprint of aircraft deicing can be cut dramatically by recycling used fluid. The Munich show also will mark the deicer-maker’s first major public appearance since its Octagon acquisition, which expanded its supply capability in North America.

At the last inter airport Europe, Clariant unveiled its EcoTain recycling system that lessens the environmental impact and the costs of aircraft deicing. At the upcoming inter airport Europe, Clariant will present hard numbers showing how recycling significantly lowers deicing’s carbon footprint.

“We were confident that EcoTain recycling could cut the amount of greenhouse-gases emitted in deicing,” says Martin Westermaier, Research & Development Manager at Clariant. “So to find out for sure, we commissioned an independent, scientific assessment – which we’ll present at the show.”
