UK-based Cartwright Group has delivered the first specialist aircraft ground support vehicle following its acquisition of Emtek Services in 2017. The vehicle, based on an Iveco Eurocargo 18-t chassis, is a scissor lift vehicle designed to lift cleaning crews to aircraft doors up to a height of 6 m. The vehicle was handed over to CCS Services at Manchester Airport (MAN) in the UK to transport cleaning teams onto aircraft on the tarmac to clean the cabins during turnaround times. Its dry freight box and bridge was designed and manufactured at Cartwright’s manufacturing facility in Altrincham, Cheshire, with the panels being made using the company’s new GBP 1.8 million panel press. While this is the first vehicle to be delivered under the new Cartwright GSE banner, the company is looking forward to building on Emtek’s reputation for the manufacture and delivery of ground service equipment for airport service providers across the globe. Cartwright Group has an established reputation for providing customer-led solutions and prides itself on their longstanding reputation for engineering excellence.
