Two main international airports in the Maldives have deployed Rockwell Collins’ ARINC vMUSE Common Use Passenger Processing System to improve their processes. Deployed at Velana (MLE) and Gan (GAN) Airports, as well as operated by Maldives Airports Company (MACL), the system also expedites the check-in process for passengers. MLE recently renewed its existing contract with Rockwell Collins, while a new agreement was signed by GAN with the company. MACL managing director, Adil Moosa, said: “More than USD 1 billion investment was made to improve the airport infrastructure. Rockwell Collins’ ARINC vMUSE enables us to provide a faster and easier check-in experience for our airline customers and passengers. It also enables airlines to share workstations, making the best use of our resources.” ARINC vMUSE is claimed to provide a cost-effective check-in solution for travellers by offering operational flexibility to airlines.
