Tianda Latin America (TLA) has completed the delivery and installation of nine glass-walled passenger boarding bridges (PBB) at Maiquetía Simón Bolívar International Airport (CCS) in Venezuela. The project involved not only the PBB installation but also the construction of new foundations for the bridges. All nine units were completed and operating in May 2017. Tianda said that the airport had plans for additional PBB replacements. Meanwhile, Tianda Latin America has been contracted by Mexican airport operator, Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico (GAP), for the design, manufacture, and installation of CIMC-Tianda apron drive PBBs for Guadalajara and Hermosillo International Airports. This project consolidates TLA’s presence in the Mexican market, strengthening its goal of leadership in the country with a total of 16 PBBs already installed at GAP-owned airports. Separately, Tianda Colombia has completed the supply of six glass-walled PBBs for the new terminal building at Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport in Colombia. The new boarding bridges will be added to already existing units in the airport and will be able to serve C-code aircraft and E-code aircraft.
