Narita International Airport expanded contract with Rockwell Collins

26 January 2016

Narita International Airport in Japan has expanded its contract with Rockwell Collins to include the deployment of its ARINC vMUSE common-use passenger processing technology and digital signage solutions at the airport’s new low cost carrier (LCC) Terminal 3 (T3), which opened in April 2015. The airport recently renewed its existing contract for Rockwell Collins’ ARINC vMUSE and ARINC SelfServ kiosks in Terminal 2 (T2), but has now expanded the agreement to include the common use technologies in T3, as well as IT support across all ARINC systems. With this expansion, Rockwell Collins now provides IT managed services for the airport’s three main terminals. Paul Hickox, head of Airport Systems Sales for Rockwell Collins, said: “Narita is Japan’s second busiest airport, serving 35.5 million travellers each year. Passengers using these critical systems will have an easier travel experience and airports will have more efficient operations.”
