Barcelona-based Adelte Group, a specialist in the design and manufacture of passenger boarding bridges, has signed an industrial and technological cooperation agreement with Korea’s Hyundai Rotem. This agreement will allow Adelte to access the industrial power of Hyundai Rotem, and especially its modern factory in Dangjin which specializes in manufacturing passenger boarding bridges. Adelte will manufacture its Apron Drive boarding bridges in South Korea – the same type of bridge as recently installed for AENA at Valencia Airport – and intended for the European, Middle Eastern, African, Central American and South American airport markets. Adelte is currently completing the expansion of its factory in Monzón, Spain, where they will continue to manufacture bridges for other markets, in addition to the more sensitive technological components such as the cabin and the upper and lower units of the gantry group. This agreement forms part of Adelte’s international expansion strategy. It will allow the Group to increase its competitiveness by optimizing production costs while achieving, at the same time, a significant production capacity that is flexible and adaptable to any type of order or number of units.
